Today i upgrade my palm pre from WebOS 1.2.0 to Web OS 1.2.1, now it works on my Palm Pre phone for Sprint. The new version of software update fixed several issues existing in 1.2.0 , Including:

1. sync with iTunes 9.0.1 with or without the support of the USB-Implementer’s Forum.

2. Resolved an issue where after installing the 1.2.0 webOS update some customers running Exchange 2007 could no longer synchronize with their Exchange account for Email, Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks. Sprint Phone Softwares&Apps

3. Media sync now synchronizes photo albums, maintaining the album structure in the Photos app.

4. Media sync now allows for synchronizing photos without requiring the full-resolution originals. This provides faster display of high-quality full-screen images and enables users to store more photos on the phone.

5. Resolved an issue where if a user tried to play streaming music or video, the media stream might drop out or have a long delay before starting.

6. Addresses a security issue encountered by webkit developers. This issue did not impact end users.

Sprint Palm Pre New App Catalog Available on Sept 24th

According to precentral, it is said the new software update - App catalog for sprint palm pre will be live starting September 24th. And you can purchase your fart sounds or other apps directly from the Catalog with a credit card on file with Palm.

This will keep the carrier out of the billing process and keep their focus on the business of getting voice, data and audio to your device.

Palm recently release a large update to webOS operating system- webOS 1.1 on Sprint plam pre Phone. The webOS 1.1 brings a lot of fixes and updates to existing applications for palm.

The improvements and additions, including enhanced Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) support, emoticons support, messaging & Web enhancements, and a new application (Sprint’s NFL Mobile Live). But it seems that the most important thing WebOS 1.1 brings is the fact that it re-enables access to iTunes’ latest version (8.2.1) via your Palm Pre.

Sprint Palm Pre software update will be available soon

It is rumored there will be a software update for Sprint Palm Pre upcoming on July 22th. The user named bigchico68 on sprintusers forum claims that he has received the list of changes via e-mail, sent by Sprint. So which may mean the demo software found on the Pre won’t work to update the device.

The software update will bring us some issues fixing for Palm Pre, including:

Facebook users will be able to keep their friends synchronized with a PC.
SMS messages will become more colorful, thanks to the added support for emoticons.
enable the enter key to start your YouTube search.

However, we are not sure whether Sprint is really to release this update or not, we have to wait untill sometime around Wednesday.

Sprint palm pre free apps-NFL Mobile Live upcoming on August 1st

One sprint support page indicates that sprint will offer one free apps-NFL Mobile Live for Palm pre on August 1st. It is said the NFL mobile live is similar to Sprint’s NASCAR app , which can let you get live audio of every regular season game, Live video of certain NFL Network games, and live NFL Network video.

You can get the NFL Mobile Live via an OTA Updates, which is sent by sprint to you. When you accept the update, NFL Mobile Live will be automatically installed. Once it’s installed, type NFL on your keyboard from the main screen or the Launcher. Then just tap the NFL icon to open it. In addtion, NFL Mobile Live will be pre-loaded on any Palm Pre bought after August 1, 2009.

Sprint Palm Pre Sync apps Download

Apple has released the iTunes 8.2.1, but it has stopped to support for Palm Pre syncing with PC.. So if you would rather keep iTunes syncing, then you better avoid updating it to version 8.2.1. Or you can go for an alternative way of syncing your content; for example, by using doubleTwist. You can find more information about it here. Mac users also have their alternative – The Missing Sync app, more about it here.
