Sprint will offer a 3G femtocell before AT&T

AT&T recently has just announced that it will release the 3G femtocell at the end of this year. Surprisingly, however, Sprint鈥檚 Mathew Oommen, VP of device and technology development, has just now claimed that sprint will be the first carrier to offer a 3G femtocell.

But sadly, the Oommen doesn’t refer to when the 3G femtocell would launch . Also, there is any details about the device. However, he聽 indicates Sprint聽 will extend to its CDMA EV-DO Rev. A network, boosting not only signal strength in areas with low coverage, but user data bandwidth as well.
