Sprint delay to release Android 2.1 update for HTC Hero on May 21st

Still remember that it was rumored that the Android 2.1 update for sprint HTC Hero will be availbale on May 7th one week ago, while it hasn’t arrived so for. Today according to the latest internal infor, we are told tha Sprint has delayed to release Android 2.1 update for HTC Hero untill May 21st for issued by Best Buy.

Whether it is ture or now, now we have to wait the official news coming out.

Sprint htc hero was on sale via telesales a few days ago, but it might not be convenient to buy it for someboday. While now every one can get the HTC hero from sprint for free, as sprint now is selling it to all in its stores as anticipated. Pricing at $179.99 after $100 mail-in-rebate with 2-year contracts.

So far I’m definitely loving this phone and am now an official Android lover. If anyone has any questions about it just leave your question here.

The Htc Hero for sprint is the first US version of the Android OS device with HTC’s Sense UI, it should arrive at Sprint retail channels on October 11 for $179.99 after rebate. The sprint htc hero’s new look is nice, only to close to the iphone. I Love teh sprint version hero. It reminded me of something that “My Man Flint” would break out. Now it seems classier and subtle, a phone for adults. I like the new looks i think the old looks were different and was nice to set it apart but its nice to know that sprint has added the rom update for it and ill be picking one up when its out. . Neither Sprint or HTC had official announced the HTC Hero ever since we heard it would head to Sprint, but today Sprint finally announces it will introduce the Android Hero for us. It is said the Upcoming Sprint Phones- Sprint HTC Hero will be launched and srtating to be on sale via retail channels On Oct 11st. The android is a CDMA Version, it comes with a pretty new design, which looks so MAGICally delicious. As I would still love this with a physical keyboard.

The Htc hero is equiped with some important featurs, including GPS, stereo Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and a 5MP camera. Also it supports colourful Sense UI and 3.5mm jack. More infor to point, this device will be sprint’ third phone featuring visual voicemail after the Instinct and the Instinct s30, However, it lacks of the famous chin, which was so distinctive for HTC’s Android products. The keys needed for Android to work seem to be touch-sensitive, instead of hardware ones like in the GSM version.

Best Buy to presell the Sprint Htc Hero On September 13

It’s a good news for customers who want to get one Htc Hero from sprint, Best Buy’s internal systems shows us it will to presell the Sprint Htc Hero On September 13. But I have to mention that the September 13 date is seemly be the start of the pre-sale for the HTC Hero on Sprint at Best Buy, not the actual handset release date.

We have heard too many rumors on the CDMA Version Of HTC Hero for Sprint. It is said to be Sprint first Android phone, and might be dropping this fall. But all these is not just the rumor untill today. Now HTC Hero for Sprint has been approved by FCC. Under the name of ‘ HTC HERO200”. The HERO200 supports both CDMA/EV-DO and GSM connectivity, so we are sure it’s highly probable that this is the Hero which will come to Sprint in the near future (or maybe to Verizon? hard to believe).
